THE MINISTRY-BASED CHURCH

Shepherd's House Open Bible Church is a ministry-based church that disciples men and women as it involves them intimately in the day-to-day ministry of the church. 

 

A ministry-based church leads people to accountability, maturity and effectiveness by bringing them together in ministry to lose themselves, and thus find themselves and the call of God upon their lives.

The ministry-based church equips believers for ministry, encourages them in ministry, nurtures them in ministry, affirms them in ministry, and then releases them to minister creatively in their individual gifts and callings. In this way, the church becomes a bootcamp of servanthood, an army of encouragement, and a launching pad for the dreams and visions that God has given each believer.

The ministry-based church is committed to seeing that "the whole body, joined and knit together by every joint with which it is supplied, builds itself up in love as each part does its proper work (Ephesians 4:16)"

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God has already prepared for us to walk in (Ephesians 2:10)."
